The authors do not provide any option for students to opt-out nor were any students informed they would be used for training face recognition. The visual clues include the unique pattern of the sidewalk that is only used on UCCS Pedstrian Spine near the West Lawn, the two UCCS sign poles, the far wall of the parking garage, the No Parking sign and directionality of the arrow.
